Why this archive
Tugs rarely make the headlines, yet they have shaped every port in the world. BoonTugs brings their stories together in one place: who built them, who owned them, what they were called over the years and how their careers ended.
Where the data comes from
The archive grew out of decades of collecting registers, yard lists, newspaper clippings and notes from enthusiasts. Every record links names, dimensions and ownership history so a ship can be followed through each rename and sale.
